Specific highlights include the Gibson House, the California Agricultural Museum and the Woodland Opera House State Historic Park. The town’s more than 60,000 residents benefit from a stable economy with an agricultural base, good medical care from the highly rated Woodland Memorial Hospital and 25 parks. Residents can engage with the city government by attending City Council meetings or listening on Woodland TV Channel 20. They can also follow the activities of various boards, commissions and advisory bodies.
The Woodland City Council meets at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of every month in the City Council Chambers at 300 First St. Meetings are live-streamed on the city website and Woodland TV Channel 20. In addition to attending in person, members of the public may submit comments prior to 4 p.m. via email to councilmeeting@cityofwoodland.org.
