Since 1920, the Western Stanislaus Irrigation District has provided water for area farmers to grow crops in the San Joaquin Valley. The elected Board of Directors is composed of five members and is dedicated to providing water supplies to its customers at a reasonable price. WSID provides irrigation water to approximately 20,236 acres within its service area as well as 2,207 acres within the White Lake Mutual Water Company service area. Most of the district is in Stanislaus County, but there is a small portion in San Joaquin County.
